1. 聞如是：一時，佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。
Thus have I heard:
One time, the Budha was staying at Anaathapindidas Ashrama in Jetavana of Shraavastii.
2. 爾時，世尊告諸比丘：
若有一人出現於世，多饒益人，安隱眾生，愍世群萌，欲使天、人獲其福祐。云何為一人？
所謂多薩阿竭、阿羅呵、三耶三佛。
是謂一人出現於世，多饒益人，安隱眾生，愍世群萌，欲使天、人獲其福祐。
是故，諸比丘！常興恭敬於如來所。
是故，諸比丘！當作是學。
At that time, Bhagavaan addressed the Bhikshus: “If there is one person who appears in the world, they bring great benefit to people, provide peace and security to beings, and have compassion for the multitude of living beings, desiring that both gods and humans may receive blessings. Who is this one person?
It is the Tathaagata, the Arhat, the Samyak-Sambudha. This is the one person who appears in the world, bringing great benefit to people, providing peace and security to beings, and having compassion for the multitude of living beings, desiring that both gods and humans may receive blessings.
Therefore, O Bhikshus, always revere the Tathaagata. Thus, O Bhikshus, you should train yourselves.”
3. 爾時，諸比丘聞佛所說，歡喜奉行。
When the bhikshus heard what the Budha said, they followed it with joy.
