- 聞如是：
一時，佛在舍衛國祇樹給孤獨園。
Thus have I heard:
One time, the Budha was staying at Anaathapindidas Ashrama in Jetavana of Shraavastii.
2. 爾時，世尊告諸比丘：
「若有一人出現於世，此眾生類便增壽益算，顏色光潤，氣力熾盛，快樂無極，音聲和雅。
云何為一人？
所謂如來、至真、等正覺。
此謂一人出現於世，此眾生類便增壽益算，顏色光潤，氣力熾盛，快樂無極，音聲和雅。
是故，諸比丘！
常當專精一心念佛。
如是，諸比丘！當作是學。」
At that time, Bhagavaan addressed the Bhikshus: “When one person appears in the world, these living beings gain increased lifespan, radiant complexions, vigorous strength, boundless happiness, and harmonious voices.
Who is this one person?
It is the Tathaagata, the Arhat, the Samyak-Sambudha. When this one person appears in the world, these living beings gain increased lifespan, radiant complexions, vigorous strength, boundless happiness, and harmonious voices.
Therefore, O Bhikshus! You should always concentrate single-mindedly on recollecting the Budha. Thus, O Bhikshus, should you train.”
3. 爾時，諸比丘聞佛所說，歡喜奉行。
When the bhikshus heard what the Budha said, they followed it with joy.
