(一) 二見
(1) Two Views
1. 聞如是: 一時,佛在舍衞國、祇樹、給孤獨園。
Thus I have heard: One time, the Budha was staying at Anaathapindidas Ashrama in Jetavana of Shraavastii.
2. 爾時,世尊告諸比丘: 「當知有此二見。 云何為二? 所謂有見、無見。 諸有沙門、婆羅門,於此二見習已誦已,終不從其法如實而不知。 此則非沙門、婆羅門,於沙門則犯沙門法,於婆羅門則犯婆羅門法。 此沙門終不以身作證而自遊戲。
At that time, the Bhagavaan said to the bhikshus:
“You should know that there are two views. What are these two? They are the view of existence and the view of non-existence.
There are some shramaṇas and braahmanas who, having studied and recited these two views, still do not truly understand the Dharma as it is.
Such individuals are neither true shramanas nor true braahmanas. They violate the principles of the shramanas and transgress the laws of the braahmanas.
These shramanas never attain direct realization through self-realisation, nor do they engage in true spiritual practice.”
3. 諸有沙門、婆羅門於此二見誦讀、諷念,知捨如實而知。 此則沙門持沙門行,婆羅門知婆羅門行。 自身取證而自遊戲。 生死已盡,梵行已立。 更不復受有如真知之。
“Those shramanas and braahmanas who recite, reflect upon, and truly understand these two views, knowing how to abandon them
with right understanding, such a shramana upholds the conduct of a shramana, and such a braahmanas understands the practice of a braahmanas.
They attain realization through direct experience and engage in true spiritual practice.
For them, the cycle of birth and death is ended, the holy life is fully established, and they will no longer undergo future existence, having realized the truth.”
4. 是故,諸比丘,於此二見不應習行,不應諷誦。 盡當捨離。 如是,諸比丘,當作是學。」
“Therefore, bhikkhus, you should neither cultivate nor recite these two views.
You should completely abandon them.
Thus, bhikkhus, you should train yourselves in this way.”
5. 爾時,諸比丘聞佛所説歡喜,奉行。
When the bhikshus heard what the Budha said, they followed it with joy.
