Thus have I heard:

One time, the Budha was staying at Anaathapindidas Ashrama in Jetavana of Shraavastii.

At that time, Budha said to the Bhikshus, “The thoughts, inclinations, and actions of beings with wrong views are all without value and are not cherished or desired by the people of the world. Why is this? It is because their wrong views are unwholesome. It is like planting seeds of bitter fruits, such as bitter melon, bitter ginseng, draba, and other bitter seeds, in fertile soil. The sprouts that grow will still be bitter.  Why is this?

It is because the seeds themselves are bitter. In the same way, the bodily, verbal, and mental actions, inclinations, thoughts, and evil deeds of beings with wrong views are all without value and are not cherished or desired by the people of the world. Why is this? It is because their wrong views are unwholesome.

Therefore, Bhikshus, you should abandon wrong views and cultivate right views. In this way, Bhikshus, you should train yourselves.”

When the bhikshus heard what the Budha said, they followed it with joy.
